As part of the 2014 Hog Jog we are putting out a call to
the community to create and submit Flags of Hope for Wellspring. These flags
provide a unique opportunity to express heart felt thoughts and wishes in
support of someone close to you touched by cancer.
Flags will be strung together and flown on site at The Hog Jog held at the Stratford Rotary Complex, June 18, 2014. Flags will also be displayed at Wellspring events and a select number of flags will be featured in a Wellspring Stratford Calendar.
•Submit Flags of Hope anytime before May 30, 2014.
•The finished flag should measure 8”x10” (20 cm x 25.4 cm) with a minimum 2” (5 cm) sleeve across the top. The flags will be strung together through the sleeve. The finished flag can have either hemmed or unfinished edges, but must measure 8”x10” (20 cm x 25.4 cm) when completed.
•You can use any fabric for the base. Quilt, embroider, applique, paint or collage the flags.
•Add words, journaling or symbols as desired. Your message could be in support of a particular individual or to the world in general.
•If you are a guild officer, teacher or other team leader sending a package of flags from multiple entrants, please include a separate entry form for each flag submission.
