Staying COOL on the road in 2025
The 2025 Hog Jog is in support of House of Blessing FOOD BANK
House of Blessing Food Bank Program assists families and households by providing essential food supplies once a month, with the quantity tailored to the household size. Along with food, they also supply personal care items like toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and incontinence supplies. For families with infants, they offer diapers and formula.
For those unable to visit in person, the FOOD BANK program provides a food delivery service.
Unhoused individuals are welcome to stop by once a day for water, snacks, and other easy-to-consume foods that don’t require refrigeration or cooking.
Additional programs meet the diverse needs of our community and support our neighbors in meaningful ways.
House of Blessing serves Stratford, St. Pauls Station, Gads Hill, Shakespeare, Tavistock and surrounding rural areas of Perth East.
One of their key challenges is safely picking up and transporting perishable foods!
Without a refrigerated vehicle House of Blessing FOOD BANK is in desperate need of some assistance to enable the support of the communities they serve.
With the help of Hog Jog 2025 they plan to either retrofit one of their existing vehicles with a refrigeration unit, or purchase a refrigerated vehicle. This upgrade will significantly increase their capacity to safely transport perishable foods collected from various locations, both within and beyond our community (such as regular milk shipments received from the London Food Bank, and frozen meat from local grocery stores.
